Would you like to work more effectively with older people?

This short course will help you expand your skills and career pathway with plenty of job prospects in the Aged Care Services industry.

The course offers 3 units of competency from the qualification CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support – Ageing and 1 Unit from FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways. It includes a minimum of 40 hours of work placement.

This course is suitable for people already working in the Health and Aged Care industry, however previous experience working in a health services environment is not necessary.

Topics include:

  • Responding to routine workplace problems
  • Provide support for people living with dementia
  • Interacting effectively at work
  • Using a palliative approach
  • Facilitating empowerment of older people

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government’s Community Services Obligations initiative. No fees apply for eligible participants.
